CorpQuest: Gamified KPI Visualization
CorpQuest reimagines the boring corporate org-chart as a vibrant, interactive “Kingdom.” Using WebGL, we visualize departments as territories and projects as quests. This metaphorical layer sits on top of real Tableau data, making the abstract goals of a conglomerate feel personal, tangible, and achievable for every employee.
Your Role in the Kingdom
If an employee can’t see how their daily tasks contribute to the company’s vision, they disengage. CorpQuest visualizes this connection, showing how completing a “Code Refactor Quest” strengthens the “Engineering Stronghold’s” defenses.
Challenge & Solution
The Challenge: Large enterprises suffer from detail fatigue. Quarterly goals are buried in 50-page PDFs that no one reads. The client needed a way to communicate strategic direction that was as engaging as a mobile game, fostering a sense of unified purpose across 50,000 disconnected employees.
The Solution: We engineered CorpQuest, a data-driven strategy game layer.
The Map
The entire company is rendered as a 3D hex-tile map. Each department is a distinct biome (e.g., Sales is a bustling port, R&D is a mountaintop lab). The size and health of the biome dynamically reflect real-time KPI performance pulled from the company database.
